Smeg Mitrí is one of the PCs, the God of Love and he's a part of Confiere. Smeg is a great chef and baker, specializing in bread baking. Smeg is also known for his skill in playing the clarinet, and his ability to attract a romantic partner. With his charisma and interest in music, one could describe Smeg as a Bard, but he is a much more complex character. When reuniting with his only brother Samuel Mitrí in Session 1, because of the teleportation to The Old Stratus Temple, Smeg decided to stay by his brother's side and protect him, as well as the rest of Confiere. After uncovering the truth about his master Jousev Tremor in Session 2 Smeg was left conflicted. Looking for a new purpose in life might be the reason for his radical romantic behavior after that point. Smeg refused to meet his mother in Session 15, still holding a grudge against her but he would not leave his brother. Session 29 Smeg would become the god of love and with that, his outlook on the world must have completely changed, or not. No one except Smeg himself knows what's in his mind.

Family

Backstory

Smeg was born in the Snow Kingdom but had to leave his family when he was 16 because they couldn't afford to have him and his younger brother both stay. Smeg was angry at first but he realized that it would be for the best. Smeg would stay at the local tavern with its owner Alfred Drusius. There he felt somewhat safe. That was until the Fire Kingdom would invade the Snow Kingdom and burn the tavern to the ground as well as most of the surrounding forest where his family lived. Smeg took whatever he could find and fled across the mountains where he would after many days of wandering come across a temple of monks. In the temple, they would tell him that his destiny was to go to the Cloud Kingdom or more specifically Breeze Village, the leader of the monks gave him a special medallion and said that it would guide him. That was where he would find his home. Journeying through Earth Kingdom Smeg would eventually reach the gates to Cloud. At first, he wasn’t let in but when he showed his medallion the guards opened the door. Arriving in Breeze village Smeg was unsure of where to go. He would sit down at a local bakery which was when he would meet Jousev Tremor. Smeg would quickly get a job under Jousev and would become his apprentice. Except for baking and cooking, Jousev would also teach Smeg the importance of life as well as other valuable life lessons. Life was great even though business wasn’t going well. As time would go on the village would yet more often get raided by monsters. People tried to turn for help from the government and local guards. But most would just neglect the problem and every single time any guard would be present no raid would happen. Therefore no one really believed the village which would lead to fewer people taking it seriously. On top of this, the Aerlite Grotto which was what led to most of the income for the village would have a cave-in. This led to people taking more “alternative” solutions. Smeg would find out that Jousev as well as others from the village had joined a cult named The Seers where they prayed to the Water Kingdom, or more specifically Merfolk. One day Jousev would go missing. Smeg was concerned for Jousev and decided to join the cult to find out what happened. Smeg would later find out that Jousev had been sacrificed. As Smeg would find this out the cult would execute another person, that was screaming, in front of him. Smeg knew it was wrong but he ran and didn’t look back. He had once again lost the person he cared for and it was then that he promised himself that he never would leave anyone to die again. He would dedicate his life to saving the ones he liked and respected to he never would have to go through the pain of losing someone else.

Personality

Personality traits: Humble, leading, and protective. Always puts the lives of people he likes and respects before himself... Yet he priorities himself over most.

Ideals: We all have flaws and therefore we must help each other. We can’t get anywhere without working together. Yet he shows signs of racism.

Bonds: Family from Snow Kingdom: Has a grudge against them because they left him but still miss them. Jousev: Thought Smeg everything he knows, he was his master and he wants to avenge him.

Flaws: Smeg wants to be right and can’t admit he is wrong. He will sometimes go out of his way to prove he is right even if he is wrong.

One could describe Smeg as an enigma.

Magic

Cloud Magic and Earth Magic, more specifically the combination of both to achieve incredible speeds. Smeg often uses his understanding of magic to outmaneuver his opponents or even fly. With his "angelic form" not even most dragons can reach his speed. After becoming a god Smeg is also able to replenish people of life and grace them with his touch and song. His power move is making someone impervious to damage, this however constrains him.

post-Afersis Act 3

After Smeg attained godhood and Afersis was saved he would open his own churches where people could worship him. He did not stay for long though, following his brother to Amanade, their family's original homeland. He would spread his religion there as well and gain a positive reputation in most of the land as a saint. Before he left he would return once again to the Ninth Kingdom where he went looking of Inika, his one true love...? He would find her and save her, although permanent damage and memory loss had been inflicted on her. Trying his best to save her he would bring her with him to Amanade whilst looking for some cure. He would find [REDACTED] which............................. It was only after that which he would have a [REDACTED] with his newly REDACTED.....

The Mitrí Brothers, Character analysis

One could visualize Smeg Mitrí and his brother Samuel Mitrí as two sides of the same coin. One is eccentric, the other one is quiet. One is selfish, the other (mostly) selfless. Their differences are also expressed through their magic. One specializing in moving fast, the other in slowing things down. Yet they are of the same blood and their love and respect for each other is equal. This is a fact even though they, before reuniting, did not have a very preferable relationship. Is this bond perhaps something that came from the re-awakening of The Founders and the teleportation to The Old Stratus Temple? Or something else entirely.
