The Cloud Kingdom is the first kingdom in Afersis and one of the smallest. It is located to the far west and is very remote since the entire kingdom floats upon a gigantic solid cloud. Its current leader is Evelyn Shroud who recently made it harder for people to exit and or enter the country and the capital. To enter and leave you need to have a pass only handed out by nobles or their valtes. The inner circle of nobles lives at almost the highest standard in the world and most of the commoners have a normal life.
History
The Cloud Kingdom has a somewhat unique origin compared to the other kingdoms seeing as its creation wasn't a byproduct of the Donstropians. The Cloud Kingdom was founded by Arisophes, officially in the year 25. It was created with the power of the strongest wizards at the time, Arisophes using the Cloud Remembrance as well as enslaved dragons. By sacrificing the dragons to The Old Stratus Temple a solid cloud-substance was created. This was then raised high up to the sky and connected to the temple. The solid cloud gained power and statute through the tower and could uphold the weight of people, buildings, and whole cities placed on it. To reach the cloud the Grand Staircase was built. The staircase became the only way to reach the kingdom which led to its remote nature.
